Sacred Laws =Sacred Law asks us to not deny who we are and live responsibly. What seems like avoidance actually produces greater peace in life and authentic empowerment.
Sacred Law: Line = Compassion = Oneness
The greatest gift of healing is giving and receiving strength. – THE TURKEY According to Grandfather Ten Bears, “almost everyone, at some time in their life, has experienced directional energy,” a flash of energetic support in a challenging situation, or a moment of compassion that comes from experiential knowledge. In these moments of Oneness, we transcend linear thinking, polarity, duality, and time. People have written about this first Sacred Law for centuries as a balancing of male and female. However, there is more to this. Whether energies are unified by challenge or compassion, at such time we are one with All That Is. Perceiving not logically, but intuitively, we experience commonality. When we experience this awareness, glimmers of circular vision call to us. Sacred Law: Circle = Generosity = Balance We become one with our nature in each Circle of Time by looking within. These first two Sacred Laws are intristically linked, for our inner generosity is reflected in the world around us. When we are one, we are balanced. Natural laws of the Changing Mother are our Sacred Laws. Thought: we are part of natural time, intimately related to evolution. To ignore this bond or deny our nature is to block our balance. Civilization has long ignored our oneness with All Our Relations because of a split in consciousness in the late seventeenth century. Yes, it was in recent history that our nature connection and sense of time became distorted in dangerous dualism which separated us from All That Is. For centuries the mind and body, thought and feeling, civilization and earth tradition, time and space have been divided into desperate and competing polarities. The energies of cyclic time lead us back to Source, describing the 5th World as an integrated whole which transcends polarization. The basic seconds in time are not infinitesimal moments of life as once thought, but possibilities, dynamic moments of co-creation, neither of time nor space, but generosity and balance in reciprocal union. The world is a co-created reality that we agreed to. No longer content to live in the dysfunctional fear of the 4th World of Separation, human beings have become increasingly generous in their life outlook and actions. By focusing how we can be generous to self and others, this Circle of Time offers us balance as the result of our efforts. We become more than our prior ego bound limits. We know this energy when we enter our circle of healing and extend and receive its subtle vibrations. We breathe the breath of life, share with others around us and smile. Their energy and attitudes join with ours. Life is no longer isolated. We are one in this Circle of Time. Sacred Law: Spiral = Integrity = Growth Expectations are to be laughed about. Your laughter opens the way to another possibility. – THE WEASEL We are part of a universal pattern of growth which renews itself in cycles. Moving from one energetic paradym to another is much like moving from winter to spring, acts of integrity give rise to the vibrations of our steps. The stones, trees around, the sky above – appear separate from ourselves, but are actually composed of energy particles spiraling in cycles of infinite potential, tiny universes each one, continuously evolving. As we journey we recognize we are constantly changing. We are not the same people we were a moment ago, a day ago… longer. Each year we renew through energetic change, shifting in the days before and after our birthdays, many times drastically. The SpiralDance of life goes on within and around us. Nothing in existence ever stands still. The wisdom is to recognize these cycles and harmonize them. Often, in our impatience, we miss our lesson. Working with plants reminds us to honor cycles. The time of planting soon will be upon us. In traditional cycles, we have collected our seeds in the fall and stored them in earthen pots. We smudge these pots daily and offer prayers in continuance of life through the winter. In the Eagle Full Moon of February, we prepare and gather soil for planting. Offerings are made and gifted to the sacred Changing Mother before the gathering. Soil and see receive more prayers until eight days before the Hummingbird Full Moon, when they join together… pilch en sella... in pots that are kept on the family hearth. The sprouts have usually arrived by the Condor Full Moon of March, where we dance with our potted babies in the center of our circle. The plants, representing our own connection to the Sacred Parents, grow literally as we dance – one year they added 2-4” to their height! After ceremony they go back to the hearth for more nurturing before being placed in the Sacred Mother’s bosom in the spring. Steps… nature honoring and balancing steps. Changing Mother earth teaches us to conquer our impatience, to work with our cycles. Our lives, like the seeds we plant, have different seasons. Some spring up quickly like the beans and corn. Other take longer to germinate, like the gourds. All the impatience in the world will not change the process. Our lives follow cycles established in nature. Operating out of cycle, against the energetic tide, it is easy to loose heart. Like our plants, when we are in cycle, we tower, arms reaching to the sky, abundant for all seasons. Everything that lives has cycles, purpose, and is an integral part in evolution. Sacred Law: Web = Co-Creation = Harmony Changing Mother earth teaches us to cooperate with the energies. This is the Sacred Law of Co-creation, or blending the energies without imposing our will on others. We prune ourselves carefully so our effect is infinite. When walking in the forest, we tracl power as our companion. Walking responsibly on the earth, we live in harmony with all that exist. Respectful, we do not judge. Being human, we forgive ourselves when we might. Respectful of self, we do not oppose our personal essence. Our daily activities and work are expressions of their spiritual nature. |
